Jenny Slate On Set As Baldoni's Harassment Joke Emerges
Behind-the-Scenes Controversy: Jenny Slate Present as Baldoni Makes Viral Comment
Newly surfaced footage from the set of It Ends With Us has ignited fresh debate in the ongoing legal saga between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The video, unsealed on November 13, 2025, shows Baldoni joking about missing sexual harassment training after making a comment about co-star Blake Lively – with Jenny Slate visible in the scene.

In the behind-the-scenes clip, Baldoni turns to the camera after calling Lively "sexy" while she wore an oversized fleece "onesie." Rolling his eyes, he quips, "Sorry, I missed the sexual harassment training." The footage has been submitted as evidence in Lively's $160 million lawsuit against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, alleging sexual harassment and workplace retaliation.
Lively's Allegations vs. Baldoni's Defense
Lively's legal team claims the incident was far from harmless. According to her December 2024 complaint, Baldoni allegedly said he wanted to see her "onesie" under her coat because it was "zipped low to reveal her lace bra," then stated "I think you look sexy" in a tone that made her feel "ogled and exposed." When Lively responded "that's not what I'm going for," Baldoni allegedly retorted "I'm sorry, hot," followed by sarcastic remarks about missing HR meetings.
"Another woman on the production spoke to Ms. Lively afterward to offer empathy and share her own similar experiences with Mr. Baldoni commenting about her in sexual terms," the complaint alleges.
Baldoni's team, however, dismisses the interaction as "unremarkable." They counter that Lively was dressed conservatively in oversized clothing, Baldoni's expression was neutral, and he apologized immediately. "Lively responded by saying 'All good,'" they argue in the November 13 filing seeking dismissal of the case.
Jenny Slate's Role and the Production Environment
Jenny Slate, who also stars in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel, was present during the controversial moment. Her presence underscores the workplace environment described in Lively's lawsuit, which alleges Wayfarer Studios failed to provide "rudimentary employment protections, such as an employee handbook, sexual harassment policy, information or any training on sexual harassment, discrimination, or respectful workplace expectations."
The lawsuit has expanded beyond this single incident, with claims that Baldoni fostered a "culture of hugging" on set and that Lively was retaliated against after raising concerns. Baldoni countersued for $400 million (later dismissed) and is now asking Judge Lewis J. Liman for summary judgment.

Legal Battle Heats Up as Trial Looms
The unsealed video comes as the legal battle intensifies. Baldoni confirmed under oath during his October 7 deposition that he had participated in anti-harassment training during production. Meanwhile, Lively's team has accused him of withholding evidence, including a video of his "nude wife" giving birth.
As the March 2026 trial approaches, the footage adds a tangible element to the "he said, she said" nature of the case. With other high-profile names like Colleen Hoover and Taylor Swift mentioned in depositions, the implications extend beyond the film set to broader industry standards for workplace conduct.
"Lively is seeking more than $160 million in damages, claiming Wayfarer Studios failed to provide basic employment protections."
The outcome could set precedents for accountability in Hollywood productions and the handling of harassment allegations in high-profile workplaces.
