Will Reichard's Record-Setting Season Earns Pro Bowl Push
Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard is making waves in the NFL with his record-setting performance in the 2025 season, earning him a serious push for Pro Bowl recognition. The former Hoover High School and Alabama Crimson Tide standout has become one of the most reliable kickers in the league, and the Vikings organization is pulling out all the stops to get him the honor he deserves.
Historic Season for Reichard
Reichard, in his second season since joining the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, has achieved a remarkable milestone that no player in NFL history has accomplished before. He has become the first player to make four field goals of 59 or more yards in a single campaign, going a perfect 4-for-4 from that distance.
Throughout the 2025 season, Reichard has demonstrated exceptional accuracy, making 22 of his 24 field goal attempts (91.7%) and successfully converting all 23 of his extra-point attempts. His consistency from long range has been particularly impressive, with eight field goals of at least 50 yards, putting him behind only Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin (10) and Dallas Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey (9) in the NFL this season.
Creative Marketing Campaign
The Vikings have launched an innovative promotional campaign to boost Reichard's Pro Bowl candidacy. In a snappy video, the team dressed Reichard, punter Ryan Wright, and long snapper Andrew DePaola as a barbershop quartet (minus one) to deliver their pitch in a clever, musical-inspired approach.
"We wanted to create something memorable that would get fans excited about voting for our specialists," said a Vikings spokesperson. "Will has had an incredible season, and we think this video captures his talent and personality perfectly."
Challenges Despite Success
Despite Reichard's individual success, the Vikings' inconsistent offense has limited his scoring opportunities. In 13 games this season, he has accumulated 89 points. As a rookie, Reichard scored 110 points in 13 games, having six more field-goal attempts and benefiting from the Vikings scoring 15 more touchdowns than in the current season.
"The offense has been up and down, but I just focus on doing my job when I get the opportunity," Reichard said in a recent interview. "Every kick is important, and I'm proud of what I've been able to accomplish this season."
How to Support Reichard
Fans can still help Reichard earn Pro Bowl recognition by voting through Monday. There are multiple ways to cast your vote:
- Online: Visit the official NFL Pro Bowl voting website
- Via X (Twitter): Tweet Will Reichard's first and last name, tag his X handle, or create a hashtag with his name, including #ProBowlVote. (Note: Votes on Sunday and Monday count as two each)
- Madden NFL 26 Mobile: Vote through the Pro Bowl event tile in Ultimate Team mode using Ballot Tokens (up to 30 per day). Votes during the final two days also count double.
Reichard is among the 74 players from Alabama high schools and colleges on the Pro Bowl ballot. The selections will be determined by one-third fan votes, one-third player votes, and one-third coach votes, with the results being announced on Friday.
The Pro Bowl Games, featuring 7-on-7 flag football, will be held at 7 p.m. on February 3 at Moscone Center South Building in San Francisco. Regardless of the outcome, Reichard's 2025 season has firmly established him as one of the premier kickers in the NFL.
