New Inova Health Center Brings Quality Care to Woodbridge
A New Era of Healthcare Arrives in Woodbridge
Eastern Prince William County residents will soon have expanded access to comprehensive healthcare services with the upcoming opening of the Inova Health Center–Woodbridge. Scheduled to welcome patients starting December 9, 2025, this new 42,000-square-foot facility represents a significant expansion of Inova's commitment to serving the Northern Virginia community.
Located at 14349 Gideon Drive near Potomac Mills, the center operates from the former Stratford University building—a strategic repurposing of space to enhance local healthcare infrastructure. The ribbon-cutting ceremony and public tours are set for December 3 at 1:30 PM, offering community members a firsthand look at this modern healthcare destination.

Comprehensive Services Under One Roof
The Inova Health Center–Woodbridge is designed to streamline patient care by bringing coordinated services together in a single, accessible location. Its three-story layout houses a full spectrum of specialties, including:
- Primary Care focused on prevention and wellness
- Behavioral Health services
- Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiology
- Endocrinology and Pulmonology
- OB/GYN care
- Vascular Care and Surgery
- Diagnostic Imaging (provided by Fairfax Radiology Center)
- On-site Laboratory Services
This integrated approach eliminates the need for patients to travel between multiple locations for related treatments—a significant advantage for managing complex health needs and chronic conditions.
Future Expansion: Advanced Cancer Care Coming in 2026
Beyond its initial offerings, the center will undergo a major expansion in fall 2026 to host Inova Schar Cancer Institute services. This addition will bring specialized cancer care to the community, including:
- Medical oncology and hematology
- Breast surgery
- Infusion therapy
- Inova Peterson Life with Cancer support programs

"This facility is designed to bring a full range of coordinated services under one roof, making it easier for patients to access quality care in a single location."

Community Impact and Accessibility
For residents of eastern Prince William County, the new center addresses a critical need for localized, high-quality healthcare. The proximity to Potomac Mills and major transportation routes ensures accessibility for diverse populations, while Inova's established reputation for excellence guarantees care aligned with national standards.
The timing of this expansion coincides with growing demand for outpatient services, particularly as healthcare continues to shift toward preventive and coordinated care models. By combining primary, specialty, and behavioral health services, Inova is creating a holistic ecosystem that supports patient well-being from diagnosis to recovery.
What This Means for Woodbridge
The Inova Health Center–Woodbridge more than doubles the healthcare options available in eastern Prince William County. It complements Inova's existing network in Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, and Loudoun counties while filling a vital gap in local services.
As the facility evolves to include comprehensive cancer care by 2026, it will position Woodbridge as a regional hub for advanced medical treatment—reducing the need for residents to travel long distances for specialized oncology services.
Community members are encouraged to attend the ribbon-cutting event on December 3 to explore the facility and learn more about upcoming services. For more information, visit Inova Health System's official resources.
