The laidback surf-rock icon Jack Johnson is gearing up for his most expansive tour in years, with a 43-date North American trek titled the SURFILMUSIC Tour. Marking his first major tour since 2022, this journey celebrates Johnson's multifaceted career while introducing new music tied to an upcoming documentary.

Named after Johnson's forthcoming documentary, the SURFILMUSIC Tour weaves together his evolution from surfer to filmmaker to musician. The film chronicles Johnson's early career through iconic surf documentaries like Thicker Than Water (1999) and The September Sessions (2000), which paved the way for his music success. It features surf legends Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, and the Malloy Brothers, celebrating the ocean-driven community that shaped Johnson's path.

The tour kicks off June 19, 2026, in Gilford, New Hampshire, and spans three distinct legs with rotating special guests:

To coincide with the tour, Johnson and Hermanos Gutiérrez released the collaborative single "Hold on to the Light," a preview of the SURFILMUSIC soundtrack. The documentary's score was co-created by Johnson and the Gutiérrez brothers, blending his signature folk-pop with Latin influences.
